On Saturday 24th October Ashcombe faced Sussex Dolphins in their second NVL match of the new season. Both teams had lost their first matches two weeks previously so were extra keen for a victory. Ashcombe relaxed enough to allow Dolphins to take the second set 25-23 but then took control winning the next 2 sets 25-12 and 25-19. Ashcombe play their first away fixture next Sunday, 1st November, when they travel to Cresswood Community School to play Southampton from 11.30 .a.m.
