Ashcombe Dorking 1 were two sets up in their match against Bristol before losing 20-18 in the fifth set on Saturday 9th March. The Ashcombe teams found it hard to get into their rhythm in attack and despite fighting hard in defence Bristol were able to hold on to take the match.

Ashcombe Under 18 Womens team traveled to Kettering to play in the National Last 8 Championships and moved into the semi-final after pool matches against Richmond [1-2], Urmston Grammar School [2-0] and Malory Eagles [1-2]. Tameside had been dominant in their pool and not dropped a set all day and Ashcombe were no match for their consistent play. Brandi Head showed resilience and fight, never giving up, determined to keep Ashcombe in the game.
