We have a mixture of experience and young potential in this season’s squad and the pre-season preparations have been thorough and have given me a lot of confidence in the group we have this season. Our team will be the most competitive side we have had for many years and I hope to build on last year’s performance.’

On his appointment as Team Manager, Robin Martin expressed his enthusiasm for the role.
‘As the new Super 8 team manager I am incredibly proud to be a part of the award-winning Ashcombe Club and it’s elite squad of players. The club prides itself it developing its youth programme and a number of players in our current Super 8 squad for this season are “home-grown”.

The season ahead will have many challenges but the Ashcombe Dorking team are fully prepared to fight every battle and strive to promote the sport of volleyball in the local community.’
