Coaching and Referee Courses
Ashcombe encourages any member of the club to become a qualified coach or referee. Any member wishing to gain a qualification should ask a member of the club committee for more information on support to attend courses. we also support members who wish to upgrade their qualifications and further develop their work as coaches and referees
A new Junior refereees award is being trialed and Ashcombe VC have agreed to hold a course. More news as it happens.

Level 1 Volleyball Course on Brighton beach A level 1 Volleyball course was held at Yellowave, beach volleyball courts, Brighton on March on Wednesdays 12th, 19th and 26th March from 6.30. - 9.00.p.m. and Saturday 15th March 9.a.m. - 6.00.p.m. 15 candidates succesfully passed the course. Mini Volley Coaching Course A Mini Volley Coaching course was held for 20 Middle and High School teachers in Worthing area who are part of The Angmering School Specialist sports school - partnership at Durrington High School on Thursday 15th November 2007. The course was funded by the School Sports Co-ordinator scheme and West Sussex Girls and Boys Sports Associations. |

Level 1 Coaching Course There was a Level 1 Coaching course held at Ashcombe VC on Sunday 23rd and Saturday 29th September 2007. The course was supported by the Sussex Volleyball Association and all Sussex registered players and coaches were given a subsidy. 3 Ashcombe Under 18 players, Chantelle Bashford, Susan Hoare and Jess Grimson were given a grant by Worthing Borough Council to attend the course. |
