Freda Bussey awarded National Coach of Junior Players Award - May 2008

Freda Bussey was awarded the Coach of Junior Players Award at The Volleyball England Awards Dinner held in Kettering on May 17th 2008. Coach Darren Ball was also nomiated for a coach award.

Freda Bussey awarded The Peter Wardale Trophy -June 2007

Freda Bussey was awarded the Peter Wardale Trophy for Service to Volleyball at the Annual General Meeting of Volleyball England held at Loughborough

Award for All Grant being put to good use - July 2007

Junior Ashcombe players are able to play Local and National League volleyball thanks to an Award For All grant awarded to Ashcombe VC this year. Junior players are playing local league volleyball with Worthing Volleyball Club in 5 teams based at Durrington High School and Worthing High School in the Sussex league. Ashcombe have entered all age group National competitions and are able to host many of the first rounds and travel to competitions all over the country with the support of this grant. The grant will also help junior players access beach volleyball in Brighton and travel to tournaments in Summer 2008. Ashcombe Under 18 team January 2008

Ashcombe V.C. Awarded Volley - 2 July 2007

Ashcombe become the second club in the country to be awarded Volley 2 clubmark status. The award means that Ashcombe is recognised as a club that is a friendly, safe and effective sports environment and are particularly recognised for their treatment of young people. This also allows us to access grants and funds for junior and development volleyball.

Barclays Club Award - September 2006

The awarding of Barclays Club Award for Ashcombe's junior teams was a welcome surprise. T-shirts, caps, coaches jackets and fleecies, clipboards, stopwatches and water bottleswere distributed to team members.
